A gift of toys

River Falls Area Hospital received a very special Christmas gift, courtesy of the Joe and Ella Kunde family. The Kundes delivered boxes of toys in memory of their infant daughter, Bea, who died in 2010. “We know that the hospital can be a scary place for children,” explained Ali Kunde, “and hope these toys bring some joy to the lives of the small patients and visitors who spend time here.” The Kundes purchased the toys with garage sale proceeds; in 2011, they used the proceeds to purchase gifts for other families who experience infant loss. With a few of the toys are (front, left to right): Ali, Jack and Ivy Kunde and (back): Ella and Joe Kunde, and Kris Anderson, a nursing supervisor at the hospital.
