Spring Valley girls win back-to-back ballgames

The Spring Valley High School girls basketball team won back-to-back games for the first time in several years as they defeated St. Croix Prepatory Academy of Minnesota 50-46 Monday.

SPRING VALLEY - The Spring Valley High School girls basketball team won back-to-back games for the first time in several years as they defeated St. Croix Prepatory Academy of Minnesota 50-46 Monday.

Spring Valley led for much the game, only trailing a few times. SV stayed ahead of the Lions by making 19-of-24 free throws.

Emily Boisen led the Cardinals in 19 points and teammate Nevada Schlegel scored 14 points. Spring Valley improved to 3-7 overall and will play No. 4 ranked Cameron Tuesday evening in Spring Valley.
