Bucks playing the struggling Lakers in Los Angeles

Wisconsin Sports
-- The Milwaukee Bucks will play the Lakers in Los Angeles tonight.

LOS ANGELES - The Milwaukee Bucks will play the Lakers in Los Angeles tonight. The Bucks are 3-1 since coach Jim Boylan replaced the departed Scott Skiles a week ago.

The Lakers are coming off a 20-point rout of Cleveland on Sunday night, in which Dwight Howard returned from a shoulder injury. But the Lakers have been struggling as of late, losing six-of-their-last-seven games. Meanwhile, Boylan has returned power forward Ersan Ilyasova to the Bucks’ starting lineup – and he has averaged 10-and-a-half points and five-and-a-half rebounds in his last four outings.

Boylan is also giving rookie forward John Henson some more minutes off the bench – and Henson responded with a 19-point, six-rebound performance on Sunday in Milwaukee’s 11-point road win at Toronto.

Bucks’ point guard Brandon Jennings has been named the NBA’s Eastern Conference player-of-the-week. Jennings averaged 24-and-a-half points and six-and-a-half assists in four games last week. He shot 48-percent from the floor, and 50-percent from three-point range. The weekly award is the second for Jennings this season, and the third for his career.
