Flu vaccines not easy to find in Minnesota
Minnesota News- Although Minnesota health officials say there is no shortage of the flu vaccine in the state, it may take some leg work to find a dose.
ST. PAUL -- Although Minnesota health officials say there is no shortage of the flu vaccine in the state, it may take some leg work to find a dose.
Minnesota Health Department infectious disease director Kris Ehresmann says some people haven't been able to get flu vaccine from their primary care doctor, and she believes, in many cases, that clinics may have used up their original supply. Ehresmann says it may be providers are reluctant to order another batch because they aren't sure how long it will remain in demand and they could be stuck with unused doses.
Patients that haven't had a flu shot can use the "find a flu shot clinic" tool on the state health department's website to find available vaccine.
