DNR issued over 135K hunting permits for the turkey season
Outdoor News-- The state DNR has issued over 135,000 hunting permits for the spring turkey season.
The state DNR has issued over 135-thousand hunting permits for the spring turkey season.
The first permits were issued in a lottery. Another 99-thousand turkey permits will be sold over-the-counter in March.
The season runs from April 10th through May 21st. It will be divided into six, seven-day hunting periods throughout seven zones in the Badger State. Last year, hunters killed just over 42,000 turkeys.
