PHS girls title hopes dealt a setback by B-W

The Prescott High School girls basketball team lost ground in the Middle Border Conference standings after losing at Baldwin-Woodville Tuesday 51-35.

BALDWIN - The Prescott High School girls basketball team lost ground in the Middle Border Conference standings after losing at Baldwin-Woodville Tuesday 51-35.

The first place Blackhawks got off to a fast start, leading 19-10 after the first quarter and held on to the solidly 29-20 at halftime and 38-28 at the end of the third quarter. The Cardinals came no closer than seven points. B-W then outscored them 13-7 in the fourth quarter.

Cassie Murphy led Prescott in scoring with 14 points. Maddie Kulow scored 18 to lead the 'Hawks, who are now 7-1 in the MBC while Prescott drops to 5-4.
