Plum City girls basketball team gets best of rival Elmwood 48-38
Plum City High School's girls basketball team capped a successful week in the Dunn-St. Croix Conference with a win over rival Elmwood at home Friday.
PLUM CITY - Plum City High School's girls basketball team capped a successful week in the Dunn-St. Croix Conference with a win over rival Elmwood at home Friday.
PC defeated EHS 48-38. The Blue Devils jumped out to a 16-2 lead early in the second quarter and survived a furious Raider rally in the fourth quarter.
Marah Boyer led Plum Cty in scoring with 13 point. Teammate Heather Von Holtum was the team leader in rebounds with 10 and PC's Sarah Gilles put in three assists. Von Holtum had a double-double with 10 points scored.
Elmwood was led in scoring by Ally Pax's 13 points. Teammate McKayla Brunner finished with 12 points and Heidi Webb scored six points.
The win over Elmwood split the season series. PC also won over Boyceville last Tuesday which swept the season series with the Bulldogs. The Blue Devils are back in action Monday as they host Prescott.
