Prescott girls down Plum City 40-32

The Prescott High School girls basketball team got the edge on Plum City in the fourth quarter of their non-conference game Monday.

PLUM CITY - The Prescott High School girls basketball team got the edge on Plum City in the fourth quarter of their non-conference game Monday.

The Cardinals outscored the Blue Devils 16-8 in the fourth quarter. Both teams were tied 24-24 going in.

The first half of the contest saw Prescott lead 16-4 after the first quarter but had PC outscored PHS 14-2 in the second for an 18-18 tie at halftime.

The Cards' Georgia Bowen had a season-best 15 points and nine rebounds and teammate Cassie Murphy scored 14 points. Marah Boyer led the Devils with nine points. Heather Von Holtum finished with eight points.

The win was Prescott's 10th this season against five losses. Plum City drops to 5-9 overall.
