ELMWOOD—Cutbacks were a topic for the Elmwood Village Board last month.

Trustee Brian Buck reported the personnel committee met and talked about office hours and work schedules. Buck summarized the changes made to the hours and schedules. New office hours are: Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Wednesdays, noon to 4:30 p.m., and Fridays, 8 a.m.-noon.

The changes were approved by the board.

Trustee Trish Knops reported the January meeting of the library committee focused on the budget cut they'd received. Committee members are asking the board to readjust next year's budget. The current budget cut will mean fewer hours for the new librarian. Knops also reported circulation and patronage has been growing regularly.

Knops said the nursing home budget and wage details have been delayed, pending further information. Some plumbing issues have been addressed and, due to a waiting list for the Spring Valley facilities, residency numbers are up.

There was a brief discussion about prioritizing the needs for the future of the village, but no action was considered necessary.
