”Brain tumors fear me” has become a kind of rallying cry as six-year-old Aiden Murphy battles a tumor.
He’s not alone in the fight. There are his parents, Shane and Melissa, plus his sisters, MacKenzie, 15, Preslie, two, and Mia, nine months. Then there are friends and backers from Hillcrest Elementary School in Ellsworth, where he attends school as a first grader and Thursday was recognized for courage during an assembly with that topic as the theme.
Another group lending support is Make-A-Wish of Wisconsin, which presented him with his top wish—a trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.—in a special event Tuesday at The Ridgetop between Ellsworth and Prescott.
“His brain tumor is considered stable right now,” the youngster’s mother said Wednesday about what doctors have told the family.
