Spring Valley/Elmwood wrestlers upended by Boyceville

Boyceville High School's wrestling won four matches in a row which erased a 30-15 lead for No. 10 ranked Spring Valley/Elmwood and led them to a 33-30 win for the Bulldogs Thursday.

ELMWOOD - Boyceville High School's wrestling won four matches in a row which erased a 30-15 lead for No. 10 ranked Spring Valley/Elmwood and led them to a 33-30 win for the Bulldogs Thursday.

Helping SVE take the early lead were Derek Huebel and Tyler Berg by pinfall at 113 and 126 pounds. Jed Schlegel won at 138 by a 6-1 decision over the Bulldogs' Jon Harnisch. Tyler Miller scored a pinfall in 4:43 at 170 and Butch Rabitoy won at 182 by a 7-5 score.

However Boyceville notched pins at 195 and heavyweight, along with a decision at 220 and the decisive win at 106 to break at 30-30 tie.

Both teams will share the Dunn-St. Croix Conference title with 3-1 records. SVE is 7-5 overall while Boyceville is 10-4.

138 - Jed Schlegel (Spring Valley/Elmwood) won by decision over Jon Harnisch 6-1.

145 - Zac Newton (Spring Valley/Elmwood) won by pin over Alex Lovett in 3:40.

152 - Josh Cormican (Boyceville) won by major decision over Jaron Turner 10-0.

160 - Wyatt Hanson (Boyceville) won by decision over Kevin Fesenmaier 4-1.

170 - Trent Miller (Spring Valley/Elmwood) won by pin over Bryor Hellman in 4:43.

182 - Butch Rabitoy (Spring Valley/Elmwood) won by decision over Isaac Wold 7-5.

195 - Will Kraft (Boyceville) won by pin over Ethan Hofacker in 4:14.

220 - Jake Lake (Boyceville) won by decision over Mike Roesler 7-1

285 - Brandon Windsor (Boyceville) won by pin over D.J. Wheeler in 3:53
