In the aftermath of caucuses held last month, many contests have developed for the town board seats throughout Pierce County open in this spring’s election.
Of the 17 towns, eight will feature races on the Tuesday, April 2, ballot. So many candidates have come forward for one of those—the Town of Trenton—that a primary election on Tuesday, Feb. 19, will be needed there. Instead of being nominated at a caucus, those seeking seats in Trenton take nomination papers.
