Spring Valley's game with Elk Mound moved to Spring Valley
Spring Valley High School's boys' basketball team will play Elk Mound tonight at Spring Valley instead of Elk Mound as was originally scheduled.
SPRING VALLEY - Spring Valley High School's boys' basketball team will play Elk Mound tonight at Spring Valley instead of Elk Mound as was originally scheduled.
A water main break at Elk Mound High School due to the sub-zero temperatures forced the closing of the Elk Mound High School building this morning. Elk Mound agreed to moved the game to Spring Valley this evening instead of reschedule it.
"I think we both agreed that given how late it is in the season that would be for the best that simply swap the game location instead of finding a new date to play," Spring Valley Athletic Director Rick Gould said after conversing this morening with his counterpart at Elk Mound Paul Weber.
Tip-off will still be at 7:30 p.m. The Mounders are ranked No. 4 in the state and 16-0 overall. They defeated Spring Valley in Spring Valley 65-41 back on Dec. 14.
