Plum City girls' hoops win again

HAMMOND - Led by 19 points from Marah Boyer, Plum City High School's girls basketball team were 43-20 winners over St. Croix Central Thursday.
After losing a heartbreaking game in the first season's match-up against the Panthers, PC crushed SCC, 3-13 overall, from the beginning taking a 12-2 lead after the first quarter. They scored 19 points in the third quarter alone to lead 35-16 going into the fourth.
Boyer scored 19 points and Heather Von Holtum finished with a double-double 10 points and 11 rebounds and five assists. Plum City's Elaina Danzinger finished with eight rebounds, Sarah Gilles had four assists and Cheyanne Catura had four steals. PC held the Panthers' leading scorer, Laura DeSmith, to just five points. They also had a season-high 15 assists in the ballgame.
The Blue Devils improved to 6-9 overall and 5-7 in the Dunn-St. Croix Conference. Plum City hosts Glenwood City on Tuesday.
