MIDDLETON - The Wisconsin Department of Children and Families last revoked the license of a Middleton foster care agency.
Community Care Resources is accused of misusing almost five million dollars in taxpayer money. The stage agency says salaries were inflated and money was spent on luxury cars and other inappropriate items between 2009 and 2011. Owner Dan Simon says he plans to appeal the revocation while denying the allegations.
State regulators say he and his wife took home more than a half-million dollars in inflated salaries over those three years, while billing the state more than $64,000 for personal travel to destinations like Alaska and Hawaii.
