All three of Pierce County's Dunn-St. Croix Conference boys' basketball teams were in action in non-conference games Monday evening.

Only Elmwood was successful as they routed Alma/Pepin at home in a high-scoring 89-68 win. Spring Valley lost a low-scoring contest at Amery 39-26 and Plum City was beat up at Gilmanton 71-36.

The Raiders were definitely in run-and gun mode last night as they scored more than 20 points a quarter. The Eagles, 9-8 overall, kept up as best they could, trailing only 45-35 at halftime. But they fell further behind in the third quarter being outscored 22-13.

Elmwood's Logan Wolf notched a triple-double for the Raiders with 25 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds. Teammate Kyle Webb had a double-double 21 points and 10 rebounds. Seth Jones finished with 18 points for the Red and Black label, Levi Wolf scored nine points and Eli Fredrickson had eight points. Fredrickson finished with a team-high four points.

Alma/Pepin had four players in double figures led by Cole Carroll's 19 points.

It certainly wasn't racehorse basketball in Amery they were playing. Spring Valley's offense was again stymied in the mid-20s for the second straight contest. The Warriors improve to 8-10 overall while Valley drops to 6-11.

Spring Valley has lost its last two ballgames and will have to try and break that string at Elmwood Thursday evening. They also play at Boyceville Friday in a rescheduled contest. Elmwood has a busy week too as they head to Colfax for a Saturday night contest between two of the top teams in the league.

Speaking of busy Plum City played its third game in four days and it showed for the sophomore-dominated Blue Devils squad against up-tempo Gilmanton. The Panthers improved to 10-7 overall while PC is now 1-15.

While the Blue Devils catch a break and play only one more contest this week, it isn't much of a break as they play at No. 4 ranked and undefeated Elk Mound Thursday.
