MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson had a successful procedure yesterday to repair a sports hernia.
The team says it expects a speedy recovery with no long-term concerns. Peterson had major knee surgery last offseason, but bounced back to finish just eight yards shy of tying Eric Dickerson's single-season rushing record.
Peterson ended with 2,097 yards and 12 touchdowns this season.
