Forsman tied for ninth after first round of Allianz Championship

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Rhinelander native Dan Forsman is tied for ninth after the first round of the Allianz Championship.

Forsman shot a four under par 68 Friday and is two shots off the pace. Bernhard Langer and Tom Pernice Jr. are tied at the top of the leaderboard at six under par.

Second round play kicks off today.

Madison golfer Jerry Kelly isn’t in contention and likely won’t make the cut at the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. Kelly is tied for 123rd in the field at four over par. He trails third-round leader Ted Potter Jr. by a dozen strokes. Kelly’s amateur golfing partner was Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
