Nilssen's Foods named Business of Year
Recognition was given to contributors at the Ellsworth Chamber of Commerce’s annual awards banquet Thursday.
Recognition was given to contributors at the Ellsworth Chamber of Commerce’s annual awards banquet Thursday.
The event featured a school theme, played out with the chamber ambassadors presenting reports on the 150-year history of Ellsworth.
The following were honored for their contributions throughout the past year:
--Peggy Nelson, past president 2010-12.
--Sarah Ries, Ambassador of the Year.
--Andrew Bennett, Most Valuable Volunteer.
--Nilssen’s Foods, Business of the Year.
--Peggy Nelson, Community Person of the Year.
Special appreciation went to Julie Karlstad of J.C.’s Red Barn for hosting the event; to those donating door prizes, Flat Pennies, Treasure Island, Nilssen’s Foods, Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery and Scentsy; to BoJo’s Creations, Floral, Gifts and Cakes for creating the centerpieces; to Ellsworth Schools for the program props; and to the ambassadors for putting on the event.
