James Schingledecker, 84

James "Jim" Edward Schingledecker, age 84, of Solon Springs, Wis., formerly of Ellsworth, Wis., died Wednesday, Feb. 20, at his home.

Jim was born on June 9, 1928, in Ellsworth, the son of Edward and Carrie (Schumaker) Schingledecker. He married Anna Larson on April 8, 1948, at the parsonage of St. Paul's UCC.

Jim worked for the Pierce County Highway Department for 31 years, retiring in 1990. Following his retirement he and Anna moved to Solon Springs where he loved to hunt and fish.

He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Ellsworth.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Anna of Solon Springs. He is further survived by his sister in-law and many nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

His parents and his brother, John, preceded him in death.

Funeral services for Jim will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at St. Paul's UCC, Ellsworth. Burial is in the church cemetery.
