PLUM CITY - Poor shooting in the second quarter led to a hole Plum City's girls basketball team couldn't climb out of against Elk Mound Saturday.

Elk Mound won the regular season finale for both teams 44-37. The Mounders finish 16-6 overall and 11-5 in the Dunn-St. Croix Conference. Plum City's record is 10-11 overall, 8-8 in the D-SC.

PC was outscored 14-5 in the second quarter as they shot 1-for-9 from the field.

Marah Boyer led PC with 19 points. Heather Von Holtum had nine rebounds.

Plum City's hosts Independence in the first round of the WIAA Division 5 regional tournament.
