Program Year 2012 Workforce Investment Act Local Plan For West Central Wisconsin
The West Central Wisconsin Workforce Development Board and County Boards’ Consortium do hereby provide notice of publication of technical modifications and updates to regional Workforce Investment Plan which provides guidance for implementation of the federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) in West Central Wisconsin. This plan has been developed in response to guidance from the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development and approved for publication by actions of the above referenced bodies on February 15, 2013. The Plan provides strategic direction for WIA services and Workforce Development Board and Job Center activities in Barron, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Pepin, Pierce, Polk and St. Croix Counties. Provisions of this plan will be retroactive to July 1, 2012 and will remain in force until amended or repealed.
Copies of the modified plan are available through the Workforce Resource Web page at www.workforceresource.org under the headings (1) About Us, then (2) Workforce Development Board, then (3) Related Documents, then (4) WIA Plan – 2012-2013 Plan Modification 2-12-13. Copies are also available at any Job Center in the nine county West Central region or through the Workforce Development Board at 1-800-472-5522 or 401 Technology Drive, East, Menomonie, WI 54751. Directions on how to locate the area Job Centers can also be obtained from this web-site, telephone number and address.
The draft plan will be submitted to the Department of Workforce Development for review on February 28, 2013. Public Comments regarding the draft plan will be accepted through March 15, 2013. Any comments regarding the plan should be forwarded to the Workforce Development Board Executive Director at the address, telephone number or web-site above. The email address for comments is inquire@workforce resource.org. Links to that email may also be found on the www.workforceresource website. All comments and responses to them will be included in the final plan which will be forwarded to Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development following completion of the comment period March 15, 2013.
