Ellsworth athletics gets funding

Ellsworth High School was the recipient of a $1,602.31 check from Viking Coca-Cola last month. Viking Coca-Cola is directing a portion of its sales of the products Powerade and Powerade Zero back to participating area high schools under a new program called “Powerade 4U.” Money will be collected on all such products sold throughout the Coca-Cola bottling company’s territory and then divided to high schools based on a percentage of purchased beverages. Participating area high schools include Baldwin-Woodville, River Falls, Hudson, Prescott, Durand, Pepin, New Richmond, Elmwood, Glenwood City, St. Croix Central and Clayton.
