The Pierce County Board of Supervisors’ monthly meeting was so brief Tuesday by the time Supervisor Jim Ross arrived 20 minutes late, it was already done.

Among the four resolutions and ordinances approved were establishing 2013 salaries and benefits for non-represented employees. A 1.25 percent salary increase was approved, effective Jan. 1, 2013, and employees on the self-funded plan will continue to contribute 10 percent toward their health insurance premiums.

County supervisors also approved state legislators voting in favor of transportation dollars for transportation and the public health department acting as an agent for the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection to administer retail food licenses, inspections and other duties.

The supervisors approved having a portion of old CTH U transferred to the Town of Union as well.

Among the resolutions for first reading held was the sale of beer and alcohol on the Pierce County Fairgrounds during the fair. That resolution will go to the Tuesday, March 26, board meeting for action.
