Vigil held for Trevino in Schofield
Regional News-- It’s being assumed that 30 year old Kira Trevino is dead, but nearly 200 friends and other community members showed up for a vigil at Bethany Baptist Church in Schofield last Friday night.
SCHOFIELD - It’s being assumed that 30 year old Kira Trevino is dead, but nearly 200 friends and other community members showed up for a vigil at Bethany Baptist Church in Schofield last Friday night.
Trevino was last seen a week ago last Thursday as she left work at the Mall of American in Minneapolis. So much blood was found in her car and her St. Paul home that police think she is dead. Her husband was charged with second-degree murder last week. Jeffery Dale Trevino is behind bars.
The vigil was held at Bethany Baptist because the family church in the Wausau area, New Day Christian Church, didn’t have enough space. St. Paul police say they have received more than a dozen leads from a tip line they set up last week. Kira Trevino hasn’t been found yet.
