SPRING VALLEY—They may be a little out of their element, but a mostly Twin Cities band is willing to risk it for a performance in Spring Valley.

“The TC Cats” have promised to adapt to the “Country Legends” theme when they’re part of a return concert by the Spring Valley Adult Community Choir next month, according to band organizer D.J. Traudt. The group was there for a rock-n-roll concert last year.

Friday, Traudt described their normal style of music as “classic ‘50s and ‘60s rock-and-roll, and street do-wop.” Yet, they heard about the upcoming event and were confident they could make the switch, pledging to “go strictly country.”

“After talking with Cindy (Kongshaug, choir director), we saw the light,” he said.
