Fire destroys barn
Fire departments from Ellsworth, Plum City and Lund were called out around 9 a.m. Monday for a barn fire at the Gary Thorson residence, N1355 CTH D, in the Town of Isabelle.
Fire departments from Ellsworth, Plum City and Lund were called out around 9 a.m. Monday for a barn fire at the Gary Thorson residence, N1355 CTH D, in the Town of Isabelle. No one was injured and no animals were there. Thorson said the barn was used for storage and 50 bales of straw went up in flames. “I haven’t had cattle in there for 10 years,” he said. Thorson said the wiring in the barn was getting old and he believes the fire could have started because of that and/or a space heater.
