I-94 is closed at Fergus Falls, while the westbound lanes are shut down at Alexandria. Message boards are up. Officials say those stretches won't open until they get the wrecks cleared.

A judge has agreed with prosecutors that the husband of a missing woman is a flight risk, and denied a request from Jeffery Trevino's lawyers to lower his bail. He remains in jail on a one-million dollar bond, after prosecutors provided evidence that Trevino called a family member from jail and asked them to bring him a briefcase that contained his passport -- unaware that police had already confiscated it. Kira Trevino has been missing since February 21, and prosecutors charged her husband with two counts of second-degree murder after investigators found a large amount of blood in the couple's home and Kira's car. D-N-A found in the blood spatter is a match to Kira Trevino.

A Duluth teenager has now been charged with murder in the stabbing death of an Afghan war veteran, and the details that were released in the court hearing are gruesome. The St. Louis County Attorney says 27-year-old Bryan Starnes was found dead in his Lincoln Park home, with at least 57 injuries to the head, face, neck and back consistent with the use of a hammer and a knife. 17-year-old Enrique Giner IV (4th) is charged as a juvenile but prosecutors have asked the judge to move the case to adult court. Giner is being held at a juvenile center without bond, because the judge ruled the level of violence displayed in the case may mean he's a risk to the public. He'll also undergo a psychological exam.

A Brainerd man is in jail after a pipe bomb was found in a foreclosed home. A utility company asked police to search the house because the power had been turned on illegally. Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl says when officers went to the house they saw drug paraphernalia through the window, and returned with a search warrant. Investigators found the bomb, which was made from a flashlight and explosive powder. A bomb technician defused it and no one was hurt. Forty-seven-year-old Scott Jackson is charged with four felonies, including possession of an explosive device.

A 26-year-old man bolted from an officer escorting him to the Crisis Receiving Unit in Rochester, and ended up in a pond. Rochester Police say the man ran across the parking lot and the officer chased him to a nearby retention pond and out onto the ice. Both men fell through and into the icy water, but managed to get to shore on their own. The 26-year-old was returned to the Crisis Receiving Unit, and the officer was treated for hand and leg injuries.
