WASHINGTON D.C. - Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker got big cheers when he told the crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference, quoting here, “In America, we believe in the people and not in the government.”

A lot of speculation centers on Walker running for president in 2016. He told the Associated Press last month that is an option, but not something he is actively going for right now. A straw poll taken at the event showed that Walker finished sixth out of 23 candidates with five percent, just behind Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan with six percent, without actively trying to win the balloting.

The Republican darling of the conservative movement said that’s why we celebrate the Fourth of July, and not April 15th.
