ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

PROJECT: 290th Street (650th Avenue to 690th Avenue)

Town of Gilman, Pierce County, Wisconsin

BID DEADLINE: April 4, 2013 - 2:00 p.m., Local Time

NOTICE:

Sealed bid proposals for the above project will be received by Sue Thompson, Clerk, Town of Gilman, at Town Hall, W3616 770th Avenue, Spring Valley, WI 54767 beginning 1/2 hour prior to the Bid Deadline. Immediately after the deadline, the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

(Note: The Town of Gilman Town Hall is not normally staffed. Bids delivered more than 1/2 hour prior to the Bid Deadline, or sent via U.S. Mail or a package carrier, can be sent to Sue Thompson, Clerk, Town of Gilman, N7481 290th Street, Spring Valley, WI 54767.)

In general the project consists of approximately 1,200 linear feet of rural roadway reconstruction including grading, base course dense, HMA pavement, culvert pipe, and related work.

A single prime bid will be received for the work.

BID SECURITY:

Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the amount of 5% of the maximum bid amount. Bid and bid security may not be withdrawn for a period of time as specified in the Wis. Dept. of Transportation Standard Specifications.

Bid security will be retained if the Bidder is awarded the Work and fails to execute the Contract and furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds.

PROJECT FUNDING:

This project is receiving funding under the Wisconsin Town Road Discretionary Improvement Program (TRID).

WAGE RATES:

State prevailing wage rates are not applicable to this project.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bidders shall be experienced in this type of work and shall be prequalified with the Wis. Dept. of Transportation for work in the class and amount of their bid.

RIGHTS RESERVED:

Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in any bid.

BIDDING DOCUMENTS:

Bidding documents may be examined at the at Builders Exchanges in Eau Claire, La Crosse, Wausau, Duluth, Minneapolis, Rochester, and St. Paul; at the MEDA Construction Connection in Minneapolis, MN; at the Dodge Plan Room in Minneapolis; and through the electronic plan rooms of McGraw-Hill Construction Dodge and Reed Construction Data.
