Allen Leverett replaces Gerald Whitburn, who’s leaving after 17 years with the firm. Church Mutual provides insurance to churches and religious groups. CEO Mike Ravn called Whitburn a “guiding force in taking Church Mutual to the next level.” Whitburn ran the state’s labor department under former Governor Tommy Thompson. He’s currently on the UW Board of Regents, the Wisconsin Policy Research Institute, and the board of River Valley Bank near Wausau. Leverett moved to Wisconsin in 2003, and is the chief generation officer for Wisconsin Energy. He’s also on the board of the American Transmission Company and Milwaukee’s Discovery World Museum.
