Free landscaping classes offered
Steve Shimek, who has 20 years experience as a plant health specialist with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, will lead two free sessions on successful landscaping at the River Falls Public Library from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, April 14 and 21.

Also a certified arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture and certified forester with the Society of American Foresters, Shimek’s April 14 class is called “Plant Selection for Western Wisconsin.” The second class on April 21 is called “Common Insect and Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Suggestions.”
