Hard at work
Area residents and Boy Scout Troop #54 of River Falls recently got together with town of Salem employees to clean up the Salem Cemetery, cutting trees, raking brush and sprucing up around fences. Since the church where the cemetery is located closed in 1970, little has been done to maintain the grounds. Soon a stone marking the church’s and cemetery’s site will be set by the Hammond Monument firm. From left to right, in front, are: Gabe Wurdell and Ben Wurdell; and in back are: Chuck Hughes, Cameron Hughes, Ben Pierce, Mitchel Wolf, Joshua Langlois, Jill Wurdell and Leo Langlois.
