UW-River Falls Falcon’s Nest will be cast under a magical spell Saturday, Oct. 30, from 6-10 p.m. when it hosts a Renaissance Academy Broomstick Gala, co-sponsored by the UWRF College of Education and Professional Studies.
The adult costume, or gala attire event, featuring local musicians Thea Ennen and Dave Ja Vue, and Minneapolis bands, Sepia Tone and The Big Strong Men, will offer guests a spooky fun evening of gourmet treats, dancing, fortunes told by Madame Ailinn, man-in-the-moon photo portraits by Don Stovall, auction temptations, and door prizes.
In addition to the cauldron of Halloween festivities, the $35 ticket price supports the district’s alternative high school’s technology curriculum. Silent auction items include a weekend sailing trip for four, student made Adirondack chairs and love seat, an American Girl doll, artwork, retail certificates, and more.
Tickets are available at Curves, Earth Angels, Lund’s Hardware, and The Dish and Spoon, or purchased at the door.
For more information, visit the Renaissance Academy’s website, www2.rfsd.k12.wi.us/renaissance/, or call the school at 715-425-7687.
