The UW-Extension will offer two workshops, one in Spring Valley and one in Ellsworth; both on Monday, April 4.
Dr. Robert Tomesh, horticulture specialist, will present a fruit pruning workshop from 4-5:30 p.m. at the Maple Leaf Orchard in Spring Valley. The workshop will teach persons how to get unruly trees, bushes and vines under control and improve fruit crop production.
The cost is $5 and class size is limited.
Tomesh will also present an apple grafting workshop from 6:30 to 9 p.m. the same evening in Ellsworth in the Seyforth Building on the Pierce County Fairgrounds. The workshop will explain how to get the most from fruit trees and how to complete successful grafting.
The fee is $15 to cover handouts, materials and workshop costs.
Pre-registration is required and class size is limited.
