At its Aug. 1 regular meeting, the River Falls Town Board heard from local farmer Terry Kusilek as he criticized inadequate driver visibility on some town roads.
Kusilek travels often on Happy Valley Road and said it’s not always easy to see clearly while driving.
He said he’s complained to the board about this issue before and been ignored. He’d like to see something done, like cutting back trees, before a serious crash occurs.
“I don’t know which way to drive home with my farm equipment,” Kusilek said.
Town Board Supervisor Tom Sitz agreed that there are visibility problems that need correcting.
“We need to look at it and prioritize which roads need to be done, long term,” Sitz said.
Town Board Chairwoman Diana Smith said she and her colleagues should drive some of the roads and get a firsthand look at what improvements are needed.
