River Falls Police post info about sex offender
A community notification has gone out for registered sex offender Brian K. Lambert. Lambert, from River Falls, will be released from prison Tuesday, May 22, and is expected to live with a relative at 508 Spring St. A community meeting was held at Meyer Middle School in August 2009 about Lambert’s prison release and return to River Falls. Radar Trailer: Takes a licking but keeps on ticking 
Early Monday morning, May 7, it was found that the River Falls Police radar trailer had been pummeled by an array of fruit pieces and pickles. In fact, a broken jar of pickles was recovered nearby. Someone also tried to pry open the trailer door, bending the handle. No matter. An officer found that the device, while dented and coated with pickle juice, was still functioning and reading the speeds of passing vehicles in the 500 block of East Walnut Street.

The River Falls deputy city clerk is warning residents who receive multiple mailings from political groups for voter registration applications and applications for absentee ballots: “Even though the mailings may instruct you to send the forms to the city clerk, the city clerk’s office does not send out mass mailings” for either of these.

Big birds come to River Falls 
Sandhill cranes: Standing four feet tall and with seven-foot wingspans, they are some of the largest birds in the world. They also perform a mating dance where they face each other, bow, jump in the air and flap their wings while uttering loud cackling noises. Recently these birds were seen nesting on the city's south side.
