Gene A. Van Schoonhoven, age 78, of Elmwood, died Thursday April 4, 2008 at the Heritage of Elmwood Nursing Home in Elmwood. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 7 at the United Methodist Church in Elmwood. Burial will be in the Poplar Hill Cemetery- Rock Elm, rural Elmwood with military honors provided by the Crain-Ottman American Legion Post #207, Elmwood. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Elmwood and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
