Police officer victim of hit-and-run while helping injured dog
SUPERIOR, Wis. -- A police officer in Lake Nebagamon, 25 miles southeast of Superior, was struck by a motor vehicle Tuesday night in a hit-and-run incident, according to Douglas County Sheriff Tom Dalbec. Emergency responders were called to the scene at 10:52 p.m.
