-- The Minnesota Twins relieved general manager Bill Smith of his day-to-day duties and replaced him with the man he took over for. Terry Ryan, who previously served as Twins GM from 1994-2007, will take over as an interim general manager, although Ryan admits if he likes the job, he will likely get to keep it as long as he wants.
