Nate Place, president of the El Paso Community Club, took his turn at pitching horseshoes during the Lawrence N. Paasch Memorial Horseshoe Tournament, an attraction Saturday at El Paso Days. The tourney was played at the El Paso Bar and Grill. Other highlights of the weekend celebration in the rural community northeast of Ellsworth included a Pony Pull, walk benefiting the American Cancer Society, Tractor Cade, Bean Bag Tournament, Steam Threshing Demonstrations, Euchre Tournament, Flood Cow Swim Race, Fireworks, Ecumenical Worship Service, Grand Parade, Greased Pig Contest, music and refreshments.
