Assistant Fire Chief Randy Brickner, right, put a panel in place while Firefighter John Jensen acted as “victim” as the Ellsworth Fire Department held bin rescue training at the Donald Acker farm in the Town of Hartland Thursday. A semi-truck with an open trailer was filled with shelled corn to serve the training, though an actual accident would likely be inside a bin. New equipment for such rescues, demonstrated Thursday by a Western Minnesota distributor, was donated to the local fire department through the generosity of Ag Partners, Western Wisconsin Ag Supply and Western Wisconsin Nutrition.
