PALS Members Megan Shilling, Alison Huppert and Ethan Hayes shared the importance of service-learning at a recent conference in Eau Claire. Western Wisconsin's Student Council (WASC) Fall Summit was held Nov. 12, with nearly 200 participants from Region 1 schools. Ellsworth High School PALS emphasized the rewards gained from the PALS Pay It Forward theme. Upcoming PALS events include a trip for EMS students to the IMAX Theater to see “The Hobbit” and Christmas Box shopping to benefit Pierce County families in need. With questions about service-learning or how a child can become a part of the PALS mentor program, contact Jan Pavloski at EMS, phone 715-273-3908.
