An excavating crew from Thaider and Highstrom of New Richmond was busy burying fiber optic cable in Ellsworth Thursday. The project, for AT&T, extends from the local phone company facility to CTH OO west of the village. The work began last week and is expected to be completed in two-and-a-half weeks. The crew was dealing with a spool and cable in the triangular lot between Hwy. 10-63 and Old West Main Street Thursday afternoon.
