An animal visitor surprised Dr. E.R. Jonas and his wife, Theresa, when it came to the yard of their home west of Ellsworth a week ago Monday morning around 9 a.m. The bear may have been attracted to the site because of raccoon feeding done by Mrs. Jonas there, her husband thought. He estimated the creature to weigh over 200 pounds. Submitted photo
