Pizza Man in Ellsworth is supporting the Pierce County Gift Box Program by donating all proceeds from the sale of $25 coupons to the program. The coupons, each of which is a $175-plus value, not only offer numerous discounts on items from the business, but two free pizzas outright. Owner Pat Gutting said they make ideal gifts for the holidays. Gutting hopes at least 500 of the coupons will be purchased, which would mean a $12,500 donation to the program. If 1,000 were bought, the donation would be $25,000. “It’s all about the kids,” he said to explain why support for the program helping needy families is so important. Area youth organizations, including groups from English Lutheran Church and Crossroad Community Church, both in Ellsworth, are already involved in the coupon sales. The coupon itself was designed by Sara Erlandson, Gutting said.
