Dennis M. Rud, 55
Dennis M. Rud, age 55, of Beldenville, Wis., died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, as a result of injuries in an automobile accident.
Dennis was born August 22, 1954, to Rosie Rud in River Falls, Wis. He was baptized and confirmed and a lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church, rural Baldwin.
Dennis attended Baldwin-Woodville Schools graduating with the class of 1973. On Dec. 17, 1977, Dennis married Cindy Ray. Dennis spent a lot of time with his grandparents and was very close to them. After his marriage to Cindy, they farmed with his grandparents for a few years. He then drove semi for several years before suffering an injury to his back. Dennis retrained by attending WITC at New Richmond, studying machine tooling and eventually worked as a machinist. He worked for Phillips Plastics, Angle Industries and most recently was employed at Hudson Machine. In 1994, Dennis and his family moved to Beldenville where he presently lived.
Dennis was an outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was proud of his yard and gardens.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents.
He is survived by Cindy Rud of River Falls; one son, two daughters, and two grandchildren: Brian (Stephanie) Rud of Ellsworth and their son Kale; Jenny (Jeremy) Most of River Falls; and Angie Rud of Spring Valley and her son Chase; his mother Rosie Rud of Baldwin; his special friend Molly Stauffacher of Woodville; many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley. Funeral service was at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at Peace Lutheran Church, rural Baldwin, with Rev. John Hanson officiating. Organist was Julie Hanson. Burial was in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, rural Baldwin.
Pallbearers were Jeremy Most, Kevin Schmidt, Steven Sahnow, Dave Schmidt, Alvin Benning, and Mike Harer.
Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley handled arrangements.
