Jocelyn Marie Marhoun, age 21, of Hudson, longtime Ellsworth resident, died peacefully yet unexpectedly Thursday, March 4, 2010, at her residence.

Jocelyn was born on Jan. 28, 1989, in St. Paul, Minn., the daughter of William and Bonnie Marhoun. She loved all of her friends and being involved in many high school activities. She served as editor of the senior yearbook and captain of the golf team and cheerleading squad. She was in the high school choir and was an active member of P.A.L.S. She was very proud to represent Ellsworth, being crowned Princess in 2006.

One of her greatest passions was tending to others. She furthered her education as a certified nurse's assistant and was currently working for the Christian Community Home in Hudson as a CNA. Her greatest passion was mission work with English Lutheran Church youth group. Not only did she touch the lives of the people she served, but the other volunteer church members both young and old.

Her bubbly, joyful, and charismatic demeanor will be forever missed. Her contagious laugh and smile will forever live on in our hearts.

Jocelyn enriched the lives of her parents, William and Bonnie; sister, Bailey; grandmothers, Deanna Morrow, Teddi (Mike) Heaney; aunts/uncles, Tucker Morrow, Bill Morrow, Dan Morrow, Cindy (Rick) Kornmann, Peter (Cathy) Morrow, Tracy Forseth; several cousins; as well as countless friends and people she has touched in so many ways.

She was preceded by her grandfather, Daral Morrow.

A Celebration of Life for Jocelyn will immediately follow. Memorials should be directed to the English Lutheran Church Mission Trip Scholarship Fund to help continue the work she could not finish. The family requests that bright colors be worn to celebrate her cheerful spirit.
