Darlene Janice Goulette, age 75, of Ellsworth, passed away Jan. 12 at Fairview Hospital in Red Wing with her loved ones by her side.

Darlene Janice Goulette, age 75, of Ellsworth, passed away Jan. 12 at Fairview Hospital in Red Wing with her loved ones by her side.

Darlene was born Jan. 8, 1937, to Albert and Ethal Baringer. She grew up in Red Wing. Darlene later married Leo Joseph Goulette Jr. on April 24, 1954, in Bayport, Minn. They lived in Red Wing then settled in the Ellsworth area.

Darlene worked at Red Wing Shoe Co. for 25 years, retiring from there. Darlene was an amazing woman working outside the home, keeping her home in order and raising seven children.

Darlene was Leo's soulmate for 56 years. She lost Leo on June 24, 2010. She held on tight to all the memories she had of the motorcycle trips, camping, family gatherings, trips down south, parties with so many dear friends, and most of all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Darlene is survived by her seven children, Debbie (Chuck) Lawrence of Diamond Bluff, Wis., Leo Joseph Goulette III of Red Wing, Tom Goulette of Ellsworth, Steve Goulette of Ellsworth, Bruce (Julie Holt) Goulette of Bay City, Wis., Tammy (Jerry) Meincke of Hager City, Wis., and Kim (Ed) Hill of Dayton, Ky.; 11 grandchildren, Jason Deden of Diamond Bluff, Nicole (Brian Cady) Goulette of Ellsworth, Shawn (Jessica) Goulette of Roberts, Wis., Chad (Laura) Goulette of New Richmond, Wis., T.J. Goulette of New Richmond, TeJay Goulette of River Falls, Wis., Dustin McCrae of Hastings, Minn., Derrick McCrae of Hager City, Eva (Chase Lawson) Goulette of Mulerow, Okla., Rachel (Jack) Deakins of Dayton, Richie (Rickie) Brophy of Dayton; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo; granddaughter Casandra Goulette; great-grandson Mitchell Cady; sister, Verona Johnson; and brothers, Wally and Marvin Baringer.

Darlene will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is now at peace and back with her soulmate Leo.

Services for Darlene will be Thursday, Jan. 19, at Cross Roads Community Church, W7562 Hwy 10, Ellsworth, WI 54011. Pastor Matthew Anderson will be officiating. Visitation will start at 4 p.m. and the memorial service will begin at 5 p.m. There will be a gathering following the service for family and friends at Clyde's Corner Bar (upstairs), W7409 Hwy 65, Beldenville, WI 54003.

Hill Funeral Home & Cremation Services is assisting the family.
