Harvey Edward Hayes, 64, of Ellsworth, died unexpectedly at his home April 4.
Harvey Edward Hayes, 64, of Ellsworth, died unexpectedly at his home April 4.
He was born March 5, 1948, in Red Wing, Minn. He graduated from Ellsworth Sr. High School with the class of 1966. He served in the military as a head cook and served in Vietnam in 1970.
He was employed by Treasure Island for the last 14 years. He truly loved and enjoyed hunting, fishing, flea markets, and especially auctions. He was also had a passion for fixing small engines and most of all spending time with his family.
He was survived by his five daughters, Paula Hayes, Kelly Gilles, Tanya Hayes, Jessica Hayes, and Courtney Hayes; one son, Brett Fuller, and one stepson, Korrie Winkler; also four brothers, one sister, many nieces, nephews, cousins, five aunts, and many, many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Sr. and Lola Hayes; grandparents; one brother, two brothers in-law, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, with funeral service at 1 p.m. The burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ellsworth.
